Privacy Policy
CIC Mauricie Inc. complies with the Private Sector Privacy Act.
In the event of a privacy incident involving personal information, rest assured that all reasonable measures will be taken to mitigate the risk of harm to the individuals concerned and to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. Insofar as an incident poses a risk of serious prejudice, the individual concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec will be notified as soon as possible. An register of incidents is available on demand.

Governance with respect to personnal information
As part of our activities, all our staff, both medical and administrative, have signed a confidentiality agreement protecting our patients and partners throughout the lifecycle of personal information collected for the operation of the business.
Under the Food and Drug Regulations and the Natural Health Products Regulations of the Government of Canada, we are required to retain clinical trial records for a period of 15 years. Following this period, all records containing personal information are destroyed in accordance with current regulations and with the assistance of an authorized provider.
For any complaint related to the protection of personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer within the company. Please include your name, contact information, and the reason for your complaint. All complaint will be examined within 5 business days following its reception.
Transparency, consent and right to portability
When collecting your personal information as part of our clinical studies, the following information will be communicated to you:
- The purposes of the collection;
- The means of collection;
- Rights of access and rectification;
- The right to withdraw your consent.
- Name of the third party or categories of third parties for whom the collection is made;
- Name of third parties to whom it is necessary to communicate the information;
- The possibility (if applicable) that the information is communicated outside Quebec.
Upon request, the following information will be provided to you:
- Personal information collected from you
- The categories of people who have access to this information within the organization;
- The duration of retention of this information;
- Contact details of the person responsible for the protection of personal information.
Upon request, any computerized personal information collected from you may be provided to you in a structured and commonly used technological format.
Collection of personal information using technological means
As part of your participation in one of our clinical studies, the following information may be collected using technological means:
- Medical notes contained in the GMF du Cap file
- Results of medical examinations contained in the GMF du Cap file
- Results of medical examinations contained in the Dossier de Santé du Québec (DSQ)
- List of medications contained in the Dossier de Santé du Québec (DSQ)
Anyone with electronic access to this data has the necessary authorizations.
